Renovation of an Upper West Side Apartment in New York

“After purchasing a new apartment in NYC overlooking Central Park, my husband and I needed help with both the design of the remodel as well as the decorating. 

Kate saved us from numerous and potentially expensive disasters! Our plans were redone for the better thanks to Kate. She had great ideas for kitchen island design and finishes. She really did a deep dive looking for the right countertop surfaces, fabrics, rugs, and furniture which really pulled the room together. 

Working remotely on Zoom or by phone, Kate was timely and helpful in all her communications with our architect and contractors. 

Kate has an unabashed sense for color and style. We loved her fabric choices and the way she incorporated what we already owned with new pieces, bringing a sense of flow to our apartment. She also made good suggestions for new furniture pieces that brought a sophistication to our new place. Her British resources were also a big plus: she found wonderful gems such as a rug and wallpaper from businesses unknown in the US. 

Kate is always a pleasure to work with. She is prepared for meetings with good ideas, samples, drawings and color swatches. Kate responds rapidly, is punctual, and uses her time efficiently, Her willingness to entertain our ideas as part of the overall plan was great: she really made the project fun, or "brilliant" as she would say.
